The design was planned to express the vision they wanted to frame the original Ketubah text from their wedding, and be a new interpretation of the art they wanted to better represent themselves. This is an original Ketubah, painted in Bombay India Inks with metallic gold ink illumination.

Grapevines climb up both sides of this Ketubah text framed by a floral border. They weave around the poles of a Chuppah created out of a honeycomb with active bees.

The Jerusalem image with the Lions of Judah in the top center oval, has their Hebrew names in gold ink on either side.

“Ani L’Dodi V’Dodi Li” / “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine” is at the base above the grapevine ‘roots’.

The pomegranates symbolize the four members of their family and the scene is a composite reminder of images from their past.

The Hebrew quote is from Song of Songs, and says, “Many waters cannot extinguish love, nor can rivers wash it away.”

This is an original Ketubah, painted with Bombay I

This is an original Ketubah, painted with Bombay India inks and highlighted with both White Pearl acrylic and Metallic Gold ink. It features the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Zen Garden, where the groom proposed; as well as the state flowers of Massachusetts (Trailing Arbutus), New York (Rose), and Ohio (Carnation), representing the cities where the couple now lives as well as where they were each from originally. Above the text, is a Tallit as their Chuppah, with a quote from the Sheva Brachot above that, and their Hebrew names in the corners. The text is hand lettered in Aramaic and Hebrew with lines for seven signatures.
