Graphic Lyre in Blues and Grays

This is an original Ketubah painted with Bombay India Inks, in a simple, graphic layout. The bride and groom wanted a contemporary, yet organic feel and they had shapes and colors in mind. It is painted with watercolor washes, blending the dark blues and grays. The image here has a feel of King David’s Lyre so it combines the old with the new. The text is hand lettered in Hebrew and in English, with a meaningful quote beneath the text. The initial cap letters for both the Hebrew and the English text are painted with a metallic gold ink.
